Ninth Translation Conference: The Translator as Expert Writer
When we think of translation skills we tend to think first of linguistic expertise, then perhaps of subject expertise (e.g. telecommunications, music, medicine, law). It is too often forgotten that central to the translator's skill set is the ability to write. In our 2009 conference we will explore the interfaces between subject expertise, writing and translation.
